The Center for the Advancement of Peace Initiatives (CAPI) is an Israeli non-profit organization that enhances peace and coexistence between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples with a focus in the city of Jerusalem.

Primarily through the extensive municipal experience and inside-knowledge of Dr. Meir Margalit, CAPI has a uniquely privileged insight into the policies and workings of the municipal government of Jerusalem. Margalit has been continuously denouncing the dangerous consequences of the new policies of the Barkat administration.

As a result of its direct engagement with several projects implemented in East Jerusalem, CAPI possesses an excellent understanding of the needs of the Palestinian neighborhoods. These projects were implemented in close partnership with the local Palestinian communities who have suffered the worst consequences of the occupation.
