Culture of Solidarity is a grassroots mutual aid collective based in Tel Aviv, committed to building networks of care, resistance, and justice from the ground up. The mutual aid brings together activists, organizers, and community members to meet urgent needs while confronting systems of inequality and oppression. Their work spans food justice, political education, anti-war organizing, and support for marginalized communities in their struggles for justice and equality.
Founded in response to escalating social and political crises, Culture of Solidarity organize regular food drives, with much of the food rescued from markets and farms to reduce waste and address food insecurity. Their space, House of Solidarity, functions as a community hub for collective action, hosting educational and cultural events, as well as community meetings and teach-ins. The space also houses a growing “Solidarity Library”, offering radical literature, historical archives, and educational resources for public use. Beyond the physical space, the group organizes “Solidarity Tours,” which provide participants with on-the-ground insights into systemic injustice and grassroots resistance, encouraging deeper political engagement.
With a vision rooted in liberation and interdependence, Culture of Solidarity rejects hierarchical structures and institutional affiliations. Their work is grounded in horizontal organizing and radical care – their guiding principle: solidarity, not charity.
