Looking the Occupation in the eye
“Looking at the Occupation in the Eye” was founded in September 2021 by a group of ordinary citizens who believe that the military occupation accompanied by control over the Palestinian population and the intensification of the settlement process in the territories occupied since 1967 are the fundamental problems of the State of Israel.
“Looking at the Occupation” members, all volunteers, act in the West Bank to prevent injustices committed by the army and settlers. In order to change the situation for the benefit of Palestinians and Israelis we oppose the continuation of the war in Gaza which was renewed in 2025.
We strive to place the necessity of ending the occupation at the center of public discourse in Israel and around the world. We take part in protests, on the street and in the media, against government policies, while emphasizing resistance to the occupation. Our aim is to enable the conditions for achieving a political settlement that will end the bloody conflict and create conditions for mutual existence – Israeli – Palestinian – in an entity or entities based on democratic-liberal principles.
